Your role and responsibilitiesLead certification activities and provides recommendations and updates to NEMA R&D and product management on application of standards and regulations related to industrial electrical motors
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure regulatory requirements are integrated into NEMA product development processes and roadmaps
Ensure that all NEMA products meet applicable global regulatory requirements and standards
Implement certification programs, conformity assessment, approval processes and procedures applied to motor products and materials
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including applications, registrations, documentation and notifications to regulatory authorities
Work with agency partners (UL (Underwriters Laboratories), CSA, IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), to demonstrate compliance to applicable standards
Provide recommendations to R&D compliance team to ensure the most efficient use of resources
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests
