SUMMARY:

Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process, from in-process to final inspection. Inspection will include operating a portable CMM, Gantry CMM, and surface plate inspection. These types of measurement require a working knowledge of part set up to the geometrical tolerancing provided in the controlling engineering drawing. The ability to generate an internal non-conforming report, enter and analyze test data, and enter statistical process control (SPC) data into SPC software. Weekends and/or other shifts coverage as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides inspection activity to maximize product reliability and minimize cost throughout the production part build.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform various in- process and final inspections. (visual, dimensional, and mechanical).
  • Perform CMM (portable and stationary coordinate measuring machine) inspection.
  • Issue internal non-conformance reports.
  • Data/SPC entry and analysis.
  • Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings. (blueprint reading)
  • Basic Geometrical, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing (GD&T) understanding.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic math capabilities
  • (2) years minimum of set and measuring using a portable CMM with Polyworks programs.
  • Fluent in English.
  • English reading and writing skills.
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Use of surface plate and handheld measuring devices
  • Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, Access
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift 35 lbs. Position requires significant walking, bending, and standing.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.97 to $26.21 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
