Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Software/Hardware Integrator for its team in Middletown, RI. The candidate will be required to perform integration level troubleshooting and testing of various software/hardware/subsystem components, including component/functional level, network/interface and system of system level integration verification.

NOTE: This position requires the candidate to have an ACTIVE DoD Clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the installation, testing and troubleshooting of Progeny developed subsystems, Weapon Launch Equipment and Weapons simulators including those that are part of AN/BYG-1 Combat System and Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS).

This includes the Payload Control System (PCS), Information and Assurance/Cyber Security Toolkit (IATK/CSTK), as well as the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Networking, and interface protocols such as AMQP, CIFS, and LDAP.
  • Requires the ability to navigate the Linux command-line and perform troubleshooting actions if/when network connectivity issues arise.
  • Familiarity with firewalls/switch configuration is a plus.

Education/Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer/Software/Hardware Engineering or relevant experience.

Target salary range: USD $86,471.60/Yr. - USD $95,929.40/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
