About the Department | Foundations Accounting and Investments (FAI) under the direction of the University Treasurer, is responsible for providing investment, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting and corporate governance oversight for seven (7) University-related foundations, the NC State Investment Fund, Inc. (NCSIF), the Endowment Fund of NC State University, the Alumni Association, the NC State Partnership Corporation, nine (9) subsidiary LLC's and a non-profit subsidiary of one of the foundations. Each of these entities provides substantial resources in support of the University through its various colleges. As of June 30, 2023, these responsibilities included approximately 13,000 funds with a combined market value in excess of $2.4 billion and an endowment of $2 billion that will contribute $77 million in spending for fiscal 2025. |
Essential Job Duties | The Financial Compliance Auditor position is responsible for reviewing Chartfield Request documentation and attributes across several funding sources, ensuring compliance between financial projects and advancement allocations, as well as serving as the primary reviewer of simple to moderate gift agreements for compliance with regulations from both a financial as well as administrative perspective. Additionally, this position is responsible for a newly created audit function targeted at internal controls for all associated entities managed by FAI. This will include working on procedures, efficiencies, and accuracy of data. Additional Responsibilities will include:

Minimum Education and Experience | Require post-baccalaureate credentials plus 1-2 years experience; a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
