Job Description
Remediation Superintendent
  • Assist Project Manager through project lifecycle from pursuit to close out.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and Project Work Plans.
  • Daily coordination of Subcontractors.
  • Provide daily morning safety briefings.
  • Orders and schedules delivery of material and equipment, reviewing requisitions and purchase orders for correctness and cost savings.
  • Manages the day to day activity of project field staff and ensures production stays on schedule.
  • Assist Project Manager is monitoring project costs, budget, schedule, safety and quality
  • Takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Maintains continuous, open communication with the project management team, client representative and subcontractor.
  • Reports on progress, concerns, and listens and responds to concerns of others.
  • Maintains liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Monitors and suggests solutions to construction problems or design flaws as work is in progress.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Performs quality control inspections and reviews plans and specifications for quality assurance.
  • Pulls construction permits.
  • Provides approval to project invoices to Project Manager.
  • Assists with Project Progress Meeting Agendas and Meeting Minutes.
  • Develops weekly Two-Week Look Ahead Schedules
  • Provides feedback on performance appraisals for project staff.

Up to 100% travel wherever the project takes them within the US

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 8 years of related experience
  • 40 HR OSHA HAZWOPER
  • Remediation experience including excavation and disposal of contaminated soil, In-situ/ex-situ soil treatment, thermal remediation, and permeable barrier wall construction a plus.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Expert knowledge of construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, etc.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Good Microsoft Word and Excel skill.
