The Associate Director of Sales Force Effectiveness is critical part of the Commercial Operations team and will be responsible for supporting sales force effectiveness (targeting, call plans, data management and dashboards) and drive excellence in the Commercial organization. Responsibilities include sales target planning and alignment, sales process optimization, field analytics and performance measurement, and field force commercial solutions, such as dashboards and other analytical tools. The ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities with strong skills in project management, collaboration and communication will be key to success.

Responsibilities:

Manages all BU and brand needs from a SFE perspective in supporting sales teams (5), Market Access/Trade, KAS (1) KAMs (2) and MSLs

  • Develop a strong understanding of sales strategies including sales force effectiveness initiatives, customer segmentations, affiliations/alignments, engagement activities and surface insights to key stakeholders
  • Mentor and onboard new users on SFE tools and data as well as support business initiatives.
  • Design and implement effective customer call planning and targeting tools to support on-going sales promotion and assist management in evaluating sales productivity/performance
  • Lead launch excellence for new brands with SFE report and segmentation recommendations.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver consistently to the expectations of different stakeholders
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships with weekly/daily interactions to monitor projects and deliverables of reporting, customer master, sales structure and targeting projects.

Subject matter expert for SFE and sales (SP, ICS etc.) Data business rules and defines new business rules as required.

  • Support sub-national sales force reporting and analysis: operationalization of KPIs and metrics through centralized data platforms, and creation and management of performance related reports and dashboards (via Power BI)
  • Lead training sessions and change management to improved adoption of PowerBI and other Sales operations tools
  • Engage and lead data management and business rules development with vision towards building one source of truth driven commercial operations to deliver actionable insights and drive data driven decision making.

Support BU Heads on Brand strategy to improve efficiencies and enable enhanced capabilities to deliver advancement in business analytics, sales force effectiveness, and information management.

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders across the Sales, Marketing, Market Access, IT, Analytics & Insights, and Incentive Compensation teams that lead to the highest levels of collaboration and effectiveness
  • Work with the Sales Leadership and Customer Engagement to collaboratively design, develop, implement and support technology and data project implementations, business process changes and operational consistency
  • Deliver scalable solutions that integrate within the Commercial technology and processes ecosystem; ability to have a broad perspective and consider implications beyond the explicit requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial business and technology acumen (experience with Power BI, OCE, and MDM is a plus)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, influence, change management and consensus building skills
  • Meticulous, highly organized and self-directed approach to work, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing tasks in time-constrained situations
  • 10+ years in sales analytics and operations; required experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech (or adjacent) industry
  • Bachelor s Degree; MBA preferred or applicable previous experience

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $190,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
