General Information:

The University Health Center provides a comprehensive array of health care services and health education programs to a population of 22,000 JMU students. Included in our health care services are several medical clinics, a pharmacy, a medical laboratory, and other programs that provide services for more than 30,000 patient encounters a year. UHC practices evidence-based medicine in a confidential, inclusive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Urgent Care Nursing Coordinator has oversight for the Urgent Care Clinic and also manages nursing duties for all medical clinics during the summer months. This includes serving as Team Leader, managing the flow and operations of the clinic. Clinically, this role works in the Urgent Care clinic and as a Triage Nurse for walk-ins and phone calls. This role also provides leadership-supervision, performance evaluation, guidance and encouragement to members of the Urgent Care team. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:

*Current Virginia RN license
*CPR/AED Certified
*Proficient computer abilities and experience with an EMR system
*Knowledgeable in the urgent care setting
*Knowledgeable about the college student population
