Yoh has an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Specialist who can spearhead the transformation of our HR data within Workday, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and organizational needs. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing a robust data governance framework, cleaning up existing data, and maintaining consistency for future data management.

Title: Data Governance Analyst (Workday)
Salary:$45-52/hour DOE
Location: Remote
Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

  1. Define Data Governance Framework: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the structure and standards for data governance within Workday, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  2. Data Cleanup: Lead the cleanup efforts of HR data within Workday, identifying inconsistencies, redundancies, and inaccuracies, and implementing corrective measures to ensure data integrity.
  3. Expertise in Workday: Utilize in-depth knowledge of Workday architecture to optimize data structures, field usage, and labeling conventions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  4. Diagnose and Analyze: Conduct thorough analysis to diagnose existing data issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions to enhance data quality and consistency.
  5. Implement Checks and Balances: Establish robust checks and balances to ensure ongoing data maintenance and adherence to governance standards, including data quality monitoring, validation rules, and user training programs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data governance role within a Workday environment.
  • Expertise in Workday architecture, including the ability to justify field selections and labeling conventions.
  • Experience working with HR data in Workday, with a proven track record of driving data consistency and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex data issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving alignment towards common data governance goals.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive approach to driving change and continuous improvement.
