Organizational Unit Overview | It is the mission of the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, to provide exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. |
Job Duties | A major part of the employee's responsibilities are personnel related. The manager is responsible for assuring policy and procedures are followed for all EHRA/SHRA/CSS employees. The employee manages and oversees all personnel activities for the faculty and staff in the Department of Pediatrics including the management of all office functions for the Department. The employee is responsible for handling those aspects of personnel management as they relate to the advising and counseling of individuals; troubleshooting/problem solving; determining policies and procedures for the Department and assuring compliance. The position represents the Department of Pediatrics and is responsible for personnel, short/long-term planning, staff development, faculty orientation, compliance with credentialing polices, faculty meetings, working with and advising faculty on various personnel actions, coordinating the various functions of the department Personnel Committee and for EHRA/SHRA/CSS leave management, just to name a few. This position will serve as a Kronos Super Admin and will serve as a backup for the CSS, SHRA and faculty payroll in the department. This position will also serve as backup covering hiring or termination actions for CSS and SHRA positions. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
