Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Logistics Associate to assist with the management of supply chain activities. You will support the Logistics Coordinator with document creation and flow of daily shipping/receiving activities. Your duties will include receiving deliveries, preparing shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and tracking shipments.

To be successful as a logistics associate, you should be able to maintain shipment records and ensure that shipments are delivered according to schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch Logistics Associate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage the flow of incoming and outgoing goods with minimal supervision. The hours are M-F, 1:30p.m. - 9:30p.m.

Responsibilities
    Prepares delivery dockets for outbound loads, computer and manually generated.
  • Assists drivers, carriers, sales services personnel, and department employees as needed.
  • Responsible for accurate receiving of inbound materials and proper documentation.
  • Coordinates customer returns for the division.
  • Responsible for the division's pallet purchases, inventory, and customer pallet exchange program.
  • Assists Sales with customer requests, including dock times, load tags, blind shipments, expedited orders and special requests.
  • Coordinates loads of finished goods with the division's carriers, drivers, and customers.
  • Coordinates 3rd party production deliveries, stock tags, and record keeping.
  • Maintain office housekeeping within the divisions 6S Lean Process.
  • Follows Product Safety and Quality Management policies, procedures, and expectations.
Qualifications
  • Ability to manage paperwork and remain organized.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Ofice Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to be very accurate.
  • Comfortable working through challenging situations.
  • Demonstrate an upbeat and positive approach.
  • Prior experience preparing logistics documentation within a Shipping or Transportation department preferred.
  • 2-year technical degree in logistics, transporation or related field a plus.
