Grants Management Assistant I

Active Secret Clearance is Required and per our government client, US Citizenship required

Grants Management Assistant I: Provides support in the management of grants, including assistance with grant applications, tracking deadlines, and maintaining grant-related documentation. Assists in budget monitoring, financial reporting, and coordination with grant stakeholders. Performs administrative tasks and ensures compliance with grant guidelines and regulations

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Grants Management Assistant I: $90,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Grants Management Assistant I Responsibilities Include:

  • Helps with pre-award activities, pre-screening grant applications and preparing for review panels and facilitating review panel deliberations. Assists in the oversight of grantee performance and activities related to J/TIP Office-funded projects. Regular and routine engagement with implementing partners.
  • Reviews and inputs data for grant applications in the Department's on-line Grant Application and Award portal. Provides policy guidance and technical expertise on anti-trafficking programs and activities.
  • Analyzes and produces grant modifications to support the Department's portfolio of active grants. Supports and promotes regular communication and collaboration with intra- and interagency programming stakeholders, regional bureaus, and posts.
  • Analyzes and produces grant award documents.
  • Reviews and inputs grant data in the Department's on-line Grant System.
  • Assists in the development of strategies and makes recommendations for programming in response to manmade and natural disasters, requests by governments for short-term training and technical assistance, and requirements for emergency assistance to victims.
  • Develops reports and validates data and creates spending reports.
  • Aids with a full range of audit resolution activities related to various audits, monitoring and other reports, ensures proper procedures and regulations are followed.
  • Processes final audit transmittals/ other reports to appropriate parties, reviewing/analyzing documentation from grantee/contractors, reviewing National/Regional Office draft responses.
  • Closes grants administered by the Department in a timely fashion in accordance with the Closeout Guidelines.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Grants Management Assistant I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree. 1-3 years of experience in the grants management field, government grant writing preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Active Secret Clearance is Required and per our government client, US Citizenship required
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
