What You'll Do
  • Demonstrate leadership and customer service consistent with CMC's Values.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments including sales, detailing, operations, superintendents, shop, etc.
  • "Manage all aspects of the project from reviewing and scheduling of detailing to scheduling material deliveries "
  • Help control the financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and maintain a good relationship with customers.
  • Oversee efforts to ensure that CMC fulfills contractual obligations on the assigned project(s) and review all RFI's and change orders
  • Coordinate project requirements with the contractor's representative, the rebar installer, engineer and/or architect using CMC's guidelines.
  • Schedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor, detailers, and CMC production staff as needed
  • Review changes to the project to determine their scope, ensure the accuracy, and process the appropriate documentation
  • "Assist in the change order process culminating in the acceptance of the change order by the customer."
  • Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project
  • Represent the company in project meetings as needed
  • Prepare project reports for management and customers
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 5 years experience with managing construction projects
  • Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawing
  • Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and influence others
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to carry and/or lift up to 30lbs. and climb stairs when necessary
Your Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
