Job Summary

As leader in the hospitality industry, Compass Digital / Levy is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the Midwest region.

Ensuring all systems are working properly and efficiently is critical to the success of our overall operations. We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail, knowledge and understanding of the role technology plays in our industry; who is obsessed with solving problems and thrives in a fast-paced environment; who is confident and comfortable speaking with internal and external stakeholders; and who desires to learn quickly and grow their career.


Day in the Life (includes, but not limited to):

  • Primary point of contact for all Information Technology related systems used for Food Service operations and sales.
  • Support location Point-of-Sale and related hardware and software including system preparation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, changes and upgrades, and event support.
  • Lead and follow up with vendors, on-site support, Regional IT, or location personnel for POS or other IT related issues.
  • Manage hourly IT support resources to ensure adequate event support coverage.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions related to hardware, software, etc.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other needs.
  • Review and evaluate new technology and system offerings against current and future business needs and works with Business sector and IT leaders to make recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of products and
  • Provide technical and operational analysis of systems and operators strengths and weaknesses.
  • Understand and execute technical priorities, standards and procedures for existing and future systems as directed.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, equivalent skill set.
  • Knowledge of implementing hardware and software in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous IT/systems leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in configuring, maintaining, and supporting technology systems, such as POS systems and digital ordering platforms.
  • Effective problem solver with strong attention to detail.
  • High-energy, self-motivated, action oriented, positive, and humble attitude, flexible, hard-working, high level of integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Schedule & Travel:

  • Travel 60% of the time.
  • Ability to work long shifts.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and sometimes holidays.
