The Role
Sonoco is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of large-scale global projects. You will oversee the deployment of strategic solutions while collaborating closely with cross functional stakeholders, global business partners, and development teams. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful implementation of projects related to the Service and Experience Product Team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving the development of key project deliverables, including scoping, and creating project plans, developing, and optimizing processes, coordinating, and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and product changes, while proactively addressing any challenges that may impede project success.

We are looking for a candidate who excels at translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications and demonstrates strong leadership skills. You will work collaboratively with process owners, architects, product teams, and support the organization in enhancing the employee and customer experience within a global hybrid work environment.

Reporting directly to the Global Service & Experience Product Owner, this remote position may require occasional travel as necessary to support project initiatives.

The Person

As a Senior Project Manager, you will help to transform the way we execute project delivery with your ability to influence others and inspire change at all levels by getting things done. You are known for your ability to effectively partner with multi-faceted stakeholder groups to deliver innovative solutions against challenging timelines in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment. You bring strong project and technical expertise and a passion for customer service to deliver a world-class experience for internal and external clients. Your roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and proven ability to drive things from concept through to execution will be a key factor to helping Sonoco successfully progress our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee end-to-end delivery leveraging project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects that vary in size and complexity.
  • Contribute to strategic roadmap planning for Service & Experience initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate proposed solutions, project updates, and risks to internal customers and leadership teams.
  • Assess project and portfolio risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within the budget and outlined timelines.
  • Formalize functional business requirements into technical requirements, to successfully deliver solutions and services.
  • Leverage existing, emerging, and innovative technologies to enhance the user experience.
  • Foster strong internal and external networks and work across multiple teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Eliminate communication gaps between business and development teams.
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to project team members.

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated success in implementing and optimizing governance frameworks tailored for large, multifaceted organizations.
  • Experience in change management to facilitate seamless transitions and streamline organizational procedures and communications.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering technology solutions across large enterprises at scale.
  • Strong understanding and experience in ServiceNow and various modules within the platform.
  • General understanding of IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and data privacy, and how to balance the requirements with employee productivity objectives.

Professional Skills Requirements

  • 6+ years of technical project delivery
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and thought processes.
  • Experience with Business Case creation.
  • Agile or PMP certification, a plus.
  • UX/UI and/or design skills, a plus.

The base salary for this role ranges from $123,900.00- $148,680.00, with a targeted annual bonus of 12.5
