Job Description

LOCATION: Remote - This is a home based, virtual position that operates on US Eastern Standard Time within the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm. Vaya Health welcomes applications from NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, and FL.


GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The primary purpose of this role is to provide Provider Enrollment daily, technical, and analytical support for complex rate and contract configuration to ensure Vaya meets all service level agreements set forth by governing authorities. The Provider Enrollment Systems Analyst will evaluate and conduct analyses using a variety of tools and mechanisms to make recommendations for provider data configuration changes/updates in Vaya's claims payment systems. The position will work collaboratively across various business units to develop and clearly communicate to internal stakeholders, facilitators, and partners, strategies, and automation opportunities to maximize efficiencies for loading diverse types of provider data. The position is expected to leverage business analysis techniques, to gather, document, and communicate requirements for transmission between technical teams and business units.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

System Performance Management:

  • Collaborate with Provider Enrollment team in evaluating and performing system impact analysis for specific data requests involving changes to provider records
  • Extract and review Provider Enrollment File (PEF) data
  • Create queries to extract provider data setup information
  • Transform data extractions for use in batch loader and/or reporting processes
  • Provide additional support to Provider Enrollment when troubleshooting any potential provider setup issues resulting in corrections to provider record(s)
  • Develop tools to promote efficiencies in the management of provider data
  • Perform ongoing analysis and comparison of fee schedule data against the claims payment system to determine applicable updates
  • Prepare batch loaders for large volume data updates

Cross-functional Reporting & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Provider Enrollment management in the implementation of new business requirements
  • Develop and assess Workflow design/process mapping
  • Generate regular/ad hoc data reports
  • Communicate project components and needs to cross-functional team members and management through documentation and presentations
  • Collaborate with Provider Enrollment in creating test scenarios and reviewing those test results that impact a change in configuration of provider data
  • Ensure consistency between development, UAT, and production environments for provider configuration

  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and Power Query, and experience creating documents, forms, and graphs
  • Preferred PowerShell experience, but not required
  • Understanding of database concepts, information models, and ETL methodologies is critical

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related analytical field. Must have 2 years of Business Analyst experience and/or 5 years of experience in a related field.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Experience in payor industry and understanding of core business functional blocks
  • Prior Experience in SQL
  • Experience in project management processes and system development lifecycles (SDLC)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparation and analysis of documents; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • Physical activity in this position includes crouching, reaching, walking, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of hands, wrists and fingers.
  • Sedentary work with lifting requirements up to 10 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Mental concentration is required in all aspects of work.

SALARY: Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate. This position is exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
