Your role and responsibilities

Creates purchase orders and makes entries into appropriate systems
Manages purchase orders through change, tracking, closure, and deletion
Processes requisitions for maintenance supplies, parts and services. Process vendor requisitions. Track shipments of critical nature
Resolves issues with purchase orders and vendors before invoices are paid
Works with internal suppliers/vendors to continually reduce cost
Obtains price quotes for new or substituted items
Sets up and enters consignment orders monthly
Enters requisitions through system; reviews requisitions for completeness of description, budget codes, and authorized signatures
Scans and annotates all purchasing records to Isynergy at index
Initiates and assists in completion of AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) forms as required
Performs general administrative support for supply chain/maintenance personnel
Performs all duties in compliance with requirements of purchasing policies and administrative procedures for purchasing and maintenance inventory, and all applicable Standard Controls and Guidelines
Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the role

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One - Three years related office administration or purchasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Basic proficiency required in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Type minimum of 45 wpm
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Will be required to learn to use the company LX, Micromain with proficiency in Excel
  • Detail-oriented individual with proven organizational and time management skills
  • Accurate and timely computer processing for the department.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to complete all duties in a timely manner.
  • Accuracy and attention to details.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter
  • Conducts business in a professional manner
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to work independently
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
