Position Summary | The Department of Housing and Residence Life at Winston-Salem State University is seeking applications for this vacancy. The Facilities Maintenance Technician-Mechanical Trade maintains the heating, water, gas and plumbing systems with Housing and Residence Life using hand and power tools such as sewer auger or vacuum plunger, acetylene torch, soldering and welding equipment, sewer camera, pipe locator, and related plumbing tools. The Facilities Maintenance Technician-Mechanical Trade also practices preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment, and complies with federal regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials common to the plumbing trade. Facilities Maintenance Technician-Mechanical Trade monitors and reports maintenance issues needing attention to the appropriate authority. |
