We are currently seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing all aspects of payroll and works closely with all departments to enhance accuracy and completeness of information. The specialist must pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines. Accuracy is extremely important.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathering and reviewing information submitted on weekly timesheets
  • Follow up on managers approvals of timesheets
  • Entering and reviewing new employee set up information
  • Identify and process registrations for new employee/employer taxes
  • Preparation of bi-weekly payroll using UKG payroll software
  • Process payments for employees' payroll, taxes and employee benefits
  • Process payroll journal entries
  • Prepare periodic payroll reconciliations
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and management
  • Prepare reports

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • 4 or more years of related experience. Experience in a professional services firm is preferred.
  • Experience with a payroll processing system, preferably UKG (Ultipro), is required.
