Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for a Medical Equipment BIM Specialist III to join our award-winning Healthcare Architecture practice. The Medical Equipment BIM Specialist III will work in the Equipment Planning Group with design teams to develop health care equipment placement drawings from Revit models, develop equipment families of medical equipment based on specifications and coordinate equipment in 3D models. This position requires experience in health care design at a production level with an emphasis on architectural design and drafting and a core competency in working with a large team in a BIM environment. This individual will be required to work without constant oversight and must be able to interpret direction either written or oral and will work within multiple project schedules. Special consideration will be given to candidates with knowledge of procedures for production of 3D renderings, design development and construction documents, and knowledge of architectural planning, drafting, and detailing.

Additional duties include:

  • Attending User Group meetings with the planning team
  • Researching equipment specification for the purpose of content creation
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
  • LI-SM1

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years healthcare design production experience
  • Ability to prepare work within a BIM environment developing content, drawings and details
  • Independent worker able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong computer skills (Revit)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local candidates are preferred
