Itron is looking for a Product Manager to be responsible for our North American water metering activities, which is part of our end to end solutions that enable Itron to deliver positive outcomes for our water customers. As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing business plans, managing pricing, and owning the roadmap to determine a feature set that positions your products in the marketplace. You will champion the business health of your portfolio and will work with all organizational disciplines to ensure we deliver reliable products to the market and our customer. While managing the overall vision of the product line, you own the roadmap and will work with Product Marketing, Engineering and Sales to facilitate new product introduction, as well as end of life strategies.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing all 3rd part meter vendor relations
  • Edit and update the 3rd party product specification and the Price List
  • Maintain forecast and 3-year pipeline, secure business plans realization
  • Provide support to our professional services team on customer implementations.
  • Handle pre and post-sales product requests.
  • Develop and adapt various product-related documents including marketing collateral, help documentation, and instructional materials.
  • Support our worldwide sales team by giving training and product presentations
  • Oversees market research and monitors competitive activity
  • Write and update product requirements documents for new products and present improvement plans to senior management.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to determine root causes of any issues.
  • Work closely with customers, prospects, and marketing to define product requirements for new products.
  • Work with Network and Outcomes team to redefine the Water offer for North America
  • Work with customers, Itron and 3rd party facilities to ensure meter testing and compliancy are strictly followed.
  • Participate to Itron product offerings at trade shows and other industry events.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. A well-qualified candidate shall have a firm understanding of manufacturing processes and meter testing procedures.


Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. Master's Degree in related field is highly preferred.


Travel: 10-20% domestic travel is expected


Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
