Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for supporting our Canteen team by identifying and developing new sales leads whilst also supporting the sales process and Regional Sales Directors (RSD). The role will be responsible for sourcing, contacting, educating and qualifying new prospects to create sales ready opportunities while also supporting the RSDs with sales process activity across high profile accounts. The primary goal for the Sales Development Representative is to assist with developing new leads within Canteen and then support the ongoing process resulting in new contract sales.

** This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the CST time zone **


Key Responsibilities:
* Work with each RSD to identify key targets within their assigned geographies for outreach campaigns/calls.
* Daily outreach via phone and email to new prospects within the existing Corporate Services CRM database.
* Perform research on universities as a component of lead generation and qualification activities utilizing the web and other research tools available
* Develop effective email topics and campaigns to generate interest from prospects and grow our email newsletter distribution list
* Review analytics from monthly email campaigns and follow up on areas of opportunity
* Support University conference engagement through campaigns prior, during and after events
* Work collaboratively with our Market Intelligence group to identify opportunities not currently within the CRM database
* Utilize social media tools to push Compass Group news, press releases and other public content for business development purposes
* Maintain accurate and timely notes within the CRM and assist with validating current data records
* Provide project support for RSDs engaged with high profile prospects during the sales process
* Provide sales leadership with regular updates including client feedback and/or opportunities for process improvement
* Meet and exceed your quarterly and annual performance targets


Preferred Requirements:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Natural ability to connect with people
* Good research skills and the ability to translate information into resonating statements
* Ability to be persistent and answer objections
* Highly organized
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Previous experience working in B2B sales role is preferred
