Description

Summary Statement: Under the general supervision of the Military Markets Supervisor, the employee in this position is responsible for ensuring all orders received for Military Markets are accurately filled following established work and safety procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Using provided tickets, pull and palatize boxes of products needed to ship.
  • Review orders in computer, correcting any discrepancies.
  • Transport finished pallets from all departments to warehouse area using forklift.
  • Prepare finished pallets for shipment (weigh and shrink wrap).
  • Load and unload trucks using forklift.
  • Provide Military Market backup to the Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Marginal Job Functions

  • Assist with clearing the finished production lines and ensuring accurate item location movement in WMS.
  • Provide support on maintaining an accurate inventory of items in Military Markets with regularly scheduled audits.
  • Assist other department personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop over a 10 hour period.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
  • Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Education and Work Experience

  • Must be or become forklift certified and maintain certification.
  • Must have strong computer skills
