How You'll Perform the Role

This role is responsible for providing analysis and support to the Sales leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analysis of sales performance with a particular focus on standardized reporting, trend analysis and customer profitability. In this highly visible role, the ideal candidate will

  • Partner with members of the sales and pricing teams
  • Directly impact and improve the financial performance of the business.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze pricing trends and structure, and identify opportunities to improve business margins
  • Review underlying cost changes within the business and ensure pricing is adjusted accordingly (margin management)
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of all customer Rebates, Programs, and Bids and provide valuable financial guidance to Sales leadership team on these topics
  • Maintain and enhance reporting and tools that highlight potential risks and opportunities
  • Regularly review customer-level margins and provide recommendations to enhance/maintain profitability
  • Partner with accounting team during monthly close process to ensure Pricing changes and programs are properly accounted for
  • Monitor competitive pricing environment - as needed - and communicate potential market risks & opportunities
  • Support sales team during RFP processes with key (strategic) customers

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related Business field. (Course work should include intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting)
  • At least 3+ years of experience
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Clearly understand integrated financial systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical and financial skills, demonstrated strong economic thinking
  • Excellent business partnership skills
  • Must be flexible in a dynamic environment and have the ability to change priorities
  • Assist in change management, processes improvement, and solving problems
