Overview

As the Lead Network Administrator, you'll design, deploy, and maintain our defenses, ensuring peak performance and seamless connectivity. You will collaborate with teams, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvement. In this exciting role, you will not only keep our network infrastructure secure and efficient, but you'll also drive innovation and ensure excellence every step of the way.

Responsibilities

ENERCON's Information Technology Group is currently hiring a Lead Network Administrator for our Kennesaw, GA office.

Infrastructure Management:

    Design, deploy, and maintain Fortinet firewalls, switches, APs, and other security appliances
  • Monitor network performance, security, and availability
  • Conduct regular security reviews and assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network infrastructure and architecture
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Implement network policies and access controls
  • Ensure seamless connectivity and high availability
  • Perform network upgrades and patches

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate network documentation
  • Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing network efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in network infrastructure/administration
  • Must have Fortinet experience, certification (FCP/FCSS/NSE 4 or higher) is strongly preferred
  • Experience with a broad range of Fortinet technologies including EMS, Forti Manager and SD-WAN. ZTNA experience a plus
  • Proven experience in planning, deploying, and managing Fortinet environments. Experience working with other networking brands and technologies a plus
  • Experience with cloud networking
  • Experience with dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and security
  • Strong understanding of DNS (Domain Name Services)
  • Strong understanding of certificates and certificates management
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management solutions like active directory, Entra ID, and SAML
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
