• Write, review, and maintain code primary in Lua & Go
• Design and implement scalable, reliable and performant solutions for complex problems like rate-limiting, Auth tokens, CORS, Caching etc.
• Design and implement processes and tools that enable product engineering teams to consume an extensible and scalable infrastructure API platform which enforces all needed governance and consistent operational models
• Innovate and improve Kubernetes platform capabilities to enable the acceleration of the API Platform
• Work closely with a distributed, diverse, and passionate team of engineers and product managers to improve and maintain our API Platform that all Lowes developers depend on in their software development cycle
• Develops and maintains Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
• Mentor other engineers in their technical and architectural decision making

• 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
• 4 years of experience in database technologies
• 4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
• Experience in API gateway/ API Platform/ API Management
• Experience in APIGEE, KONG, IBM API GATEWAY, Mulesoft or any in-house built gateway
• Experience in an OO programming language, (Java, Python, Go, etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes, CICD tools like Stash, Git, Jenkins
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• NoSQL experience like Redis or Mongo

• 5 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
• 5 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software
• 5 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment
• 3 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
• 3 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
• 5 years of experience working with source code control systems
• Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
• 5 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
