Position Summary

The Camps & Club Affiliates Manager loves people and is excited about bringing soccer programs to life! This role will engage with our camp attendees & their parents, Charlotte FC players, Club Affiliate teams and many more people! The ideal candidate wants to create a great experience in the lives of our campers. They also want to create lasting relationships and serve as a partner and liaison with our Club Affiliate teams!

The Camps & Club Affiliate Manager is responsible for the oversight, administration, and implementation of Charlotte FC's Camps & Club Affiliate's program.

Camps - Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create, supervise, and oversee concurrent camps programming & scheduling,
  • Create an environment that makes Charlotte FC's camps the premier choice for parents to enroll their children.
  • Create awareness of camps program to increase participation.
  • Manage camps staff, including identifying talent and supporting staff, and serve as on-site manager & primary point of contact at camp locations.
  • Manage details to ensure smooth delivery of camp operations, including planning oversight, procurement of necessary supplies & equipment, inventory tracking, record keeping and expense tracking.
  • Create daily/weekly/monthly requirements and scheduling, including tracking updates.
  • Coordinate, schedule and communicate camp locations and times to all necessary parties and participants.
  • Ensure that all MLS requirements and protocols are followed.
  • Implement methods for improving process and procedures that will help streamline camps programs in subsequent years.
  • Additional duties may be assigned that are not listed above but are included in the scope of this role.

Club Affiliate - Roles and Responsibilities

  • Liaison between the Affiliate Clubs and Charlotte FC business operations and technical operations.
  • Distribute player development curriculum deliverable to clubs.
  • Manage and schedule in house technical deliverables such as Talent ID Events, Coach Education clinics.
  • Schedule and host Academy visits at/with club locations.
  • Manage and schedule annual Charlotte FC "Partner Club Coach Education Seminar".
  • Distribute and manage Affiliate Club fund raising items and merchandise (ex. jerseys, memorabilia, CLTFC merchandise, etc.).
  • Create annual audit of Affiliate Club program to provide to MLS.
  • Screen all Affiliate club applications.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in recreation, education, or another relevant field.
  • Experience working as a camp counselor, with youth sports teams or with children.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Must pass all pre-employment screens.
  • Youth soccer administrative experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to become certified upon hire.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

  • Ability to remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk and computer.
  • Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • 50% travel required - will travel to Camp and Club Affiliate locations.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.
  • Must be able to work within a team atmosphere, in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
