Joint Fires Observer Integrator and Trainer

The Opportunity:

As a trainer on our team, you'll help provide Joint Fires Observer qualification, certification, and sustainment training and instruction for the Army through training courses, gaming, and classroom instruction. You'll expand your technical expertise and industry knowledge and collaborate to devise creative solutions for mission-critical problems. In this role, you will be armed with the resources you need to excel.

Be empowered to tap into your creative thinking, influencing, technology, intuition, and leadership skills to help develop, manage, and deliver training using the Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Design Thinking, ADDIE model, and Merrill's Principles of Instruction process to train unit fire support leaders on air to ground integration and Close Air Support operations.

Use gaming and simulation solutions during Joint Fires training events, mission planning, and key leader rehearsal to aid in cultivating a learning environment that actively promotes learner engagement. We value the skills you bring to ensure we're delivering the best quality of instruction.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a USAF Joint Terminal Attack Controller, Joint Terminal Attack Controller-Instructor, USMC Joint Terminal Attack Controller, or US Army Military Forces Terminal Attack Controller
  • 2+ years of experience with virtual training, simulations, or gaming
  • Experience with Theater Air Control System (TACS) and Army Air-Ground System (AAGS), Marine Corps Air Command and Control System (MACCS), and Navy Tactical Air Control System (NTACS) to ground support functions
  • Experience with the integration of direct and indirect fires, including surface-to-surface precision and non-precision weapons IAW doctrine and TTPs
  • Experience with training, evaluation, and exercise scenario development
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Completion of a JFS ESC formal JTAC training school

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a JTAC I/E or JFO-E
  • Experience with Virtual Battle Space 3, Virtual Battle Space Fires, STRIKE, or FST
  • Experience with training management
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,700.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
