Position: Production Technician(VMF) Michael Christenbury
Location: Durham, NC 27712
Duration: 1 year (Possibility of extension/conversion Subject to performance and business needs)

3 openings- Day (6AM-6PM) 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on) which will include weekends.
5 openings - Night (6PM-6AM) 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on) which will include weekends.


Position Overview:
  • The Production Technician is great entry level opportunity for recent university graduates as well as experienced individuals that are interested in working in the production and manufacturing operations to produce vaccines.
  • The individual in this position will support the manufacturing process through hands on activities such as Sterile Supply assemblies, Media formulations, Cell Culture proliferation,Virus propagation or vaccine purification. Key responsibilities for the Associate Technician include aseptic practice and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) adherence, working in a team environment to accomplish departmental goals, as well as the ability to direct your own work through leadership.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides all documentation necessary to allow proper accountability and traceability of product.
  • Maintains, inventories, and transports all required equipment, materials, supplies and products.
  • Performs general maintenance and assists in troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Identifies and addresses compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations as appropriate
  • while notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains, cleans and prepares equipment used in vaccine production.
  • Provides timely delivery of sample and other materials as required to appropriate laboratories.
Education Qualifications:
  • Required: A minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Engineering or an Associate's degree in Life Science or
  • Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience (working in an FDA regulated industry) is strongly
  • preferred.
Essential Requirements:
  • The client is completely smoke free. Accordingly, Employees working onsite at this client are not permitted to use any tobacco products at any time on workplace property. This includes any indoor/outdoor location on company property, including previously designated smoking areas, parking areas, in company or personal vehicles and the walking trails. Time constraints will likely make it impossible for you leave the client's property in order to smoke during breaks except possibly during designated meal period times. It is an essential function of the role to be comfortable with not smoking during work hours.
  • Position requires aseptic gowning during performance of job duties. Aseptic gowning requires that all skin and hair are covered through wearing the following: beard/moustache cover, hair net, hood and facemask, goggles, jumpsuit, gloves and boots. Employees must abide by the aseptic gowning requirements as an essential requirement.
  • Must be willing and able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. (Candidates must be willing to take a Physical
  • Ability Testing as a condition of employment during prescreening process)
  • Must be willing to be vaccinated/blood tested for titer for products manufactured within the facility
  • Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts, including evenings (7pm - 7am)
  • Must be willing to work a day or night 2 2 3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on) which will include weekends.
