Description

This individual will lead the Payment Processing (PP) team in the day-to-day payment processing operations and customer service functions of the trade receivables to ensure timely posting. The individual will be responsible for leading, supervising, training, and development of Payment Processors. This individual will be responsible for payment processing procedural updates and best practices for the entire payment processing team, and they will work closely with the Collections Manager on implementing best practices across the entire team. This individual will also work an assigned AR portfolio of accounts.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Effectively lead and manage a team of assigned Payment Processors in the day-to-day payment processing and customer service functions of the trade receivables.
  • Enhance and update payment processing procedures that support effective training and development of new employees.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, training, development, support, and guidance to team members so they can perform at a high level to provide and facilitate interaction with customers and store personnel.
  • Collaborate with team members to set, monitor, and track payment processing goals and performance.
  • Actively work an assigned accounts receivable portfolio while supervising payment processing team.
  • Participate in assigned team monthly AR calls, helping the team build long and sustaining Store relationships.
  • Assist team members and customers with questions regarding accounts.
  • Provide input and recommendations for solutions regarding customers issues by assisting team members and field staff with questions pertaining to credit and collections.
  • Look for opportunities to create efficiencies and improvements to existing process for the payment processing of trade receivables.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment for new and existing Payment Processing team members.
  • Maintain effective relationships with supervisor, subordinates, store personnel, treasury and accounting staff.
  • Represents RDO in a professional manner that promotes RDO Equipment, Co., and fellow employees in a positive manner.
  • Ensure that appropriate communications take place throughout the location/s by facilitating/participating in monthly open-book meetings, conducting regular team meetings, encouraging an open-door policy, and proactively seeking feedback from team members.
  • Foster an engaged work environment within the location/s, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
  • Ensure that the company/location reputation and image in the community is consistent with RDO Equipment Co. Core Values, and that business relationships with all stakeholders are not compromised.
  • Responsible for ensuring that sound and safe business practices and processes are implemented and continuously improved to effectively and efficiently achieve ethical business objectives.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years payment processing and customer service experience
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Basic knowledge of accounting
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated leader
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Power BI
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
