Job/Internship Description

The Intern, Systems & Processes will be exposed to all areas of the Mansfield Power & Gas systems. Projects and duties will encompass areas across of the breadth of the business including, but not limited to:

  • Systems
  • Project Management
  • Process Improvement
  • Data Analysis

Responsibilities

Systems

  • Work with Project Managers and Specialists to identify, evaluate and document end-to-end solution requirements that may span multiple products
  • Assist with understanding and leveraging IT's existing technologies
  • Assist with reviewing new technologies to ensure alignment
  • Solicit product requirements for large scale enterprise solutions

Processes

  • Perform As-Is and To-Be Process Mapping
  • Assist with Process Optimization

Data Analysis

  • Perform data analysis utilizing advanced Excel skills (potential to use/be exposed to Python, SQL, R Series, and Power BI)


Position Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduate student - upcoming Junior or Senior seeking degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, or related field
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to quickly understand, isolate and resolve issues.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
    - High level of proficiency in MS Excel is required (must be proficient in vlookups / xlookups and pivot tables)


This Internship will be a full-time paid internship ($20/hour) starting on May 20, 2024 and ending on August 2, 2024. This position will be based in Houston, TX at our location near Memorial City Mall.
