Ignite Digital, has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Engineer in the Charleston, SC area to support MARCORSYSCOM. The Acquisition Engineer is responsible for supporting the SYSCOM with acquisitions related engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Authoring and revising technical documentation such as configuration management, test and evaluation documents, risk and opportunity management plans, PDR/CDR reviews.
  • Conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability and maintainability, risk and scheduling trade-off studies;
  • Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles;
  • Support associated armament program engineering IPTs;
  • Perform technical support and independent risk assessment and evaluation of program management execution, technical review execution (DoD 5000.02 framework), and systems engineering
  • Support the planning, development, monitoring, and execution of procurement and contractual documentation
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting contract performance, including tracking contract obligations, invoices, and deliverables
  • Develop plans, processes, and supporting artifacts to support requirements development
  • Develop and manage the program work breakdown structures and contract work breakdown structures and integrate organizational breakdown structures
  • Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules, utilizing MS Project or approved scheduling tools
  • Contribute to risk management plans and perform risk identification for project efforts in relation to cost, schedule, and technical/performance
  • Develop and present status reports to support complex acquisition management data call responses

Experience

  • Entry level; 1-2 Years experience
  • Experience in supporting C4ISR programs
  • Experience in supporting Marine Corps acquisitions

Skills

  • MS platform skills (excel, word, PPT)
  • MS Projects skills
  • Familiarity with acquisitions documents such as configuration management, test and evaluation documents, project scheduling and technical baseline management


Education

Bachelor's degree in a business-related curriculum or management information systems
Salary: 70k+ to align with education and experience
