The Role

We're looking for a customer focused individual to work in our Member Services Department as a Senior Account Manager. Reporting to the Director, Member Services. In this role, you will be the professional liability account manager for assigned large accounts and supporting Account Executives with their accounts in terms of customer retention, providing excellent customer service, account troubleshooting, relationship-management, and other activities to provide an excellent client experience as well as maintain a high-level client retention.

Key Result Areas

  • Assist in the execution of retention and stewardship strategies and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with customers on all facets of their account servicing needs (i.e. policies, change endorsements, application questions, slot audits, certificates of insurance, cancellations, etc.).
  • Coordinate renewal presentations and policy documents used during renewal meetings for mid to large accounts.
  • Support assigned professional liability Account Executives with various tasks related to new business and renewals.
  • Contact practice administrators regarding policy renewals to discuss premiums, coverage components, policy enhancements, as well as cross selling other lines of business and additional product offerings.
  • Support all efforts of account retention of new and existing book of business.
  • Keep customer data, policy information, as well as all correspondence updated accurately in systems supported by Member Services, Salesforce among others.
  • Contact customers as needed for collecting any outstanding information needed to service and/or retain the book of business.
  • Ensure that all endorsements, applications, slot audits, cancellations, potential claims referrals, finance agreements, certificates and other customer requests are handled in an accurate and timely manner according to our standard servicing guidelines.
  • Maintain active Property & Casualty license and increase Medical Professional Liability knowledge by attending continuing education classes.
  • Attend in office education classes and meetings as necessary.
  • Assist with any projects, when needed.
  • Handle any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • High-school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least five years of account management experience required
  • Must have Property & Casualty license or obtain one within three months of start date.
  • Five years of account management experience within an insurance agency or professional liability carrier preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
