Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Roadway Design Project Manager. This role will sit in our Raleigh, NC office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as project manager on NCDOT and/or municipal transportation improvement projects
  • Maintain budgets, scopes, and schedules
  • Lead and perform roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design
  • Develop and review plan sets, quantity estimates, and reports
  • Lead proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
  • Preform QA/QC tasks
  • Mentor project staff
  • A valid drivers license and some travel will be required

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or similar discipline from an accredited four-year college AND a minimum of six years of relevant work experience AND a PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in North Carolina within six months of start date.

The ideal candidate will have experience any/all of the following:

  • NCDOT policies and procedures as related to project delivery
  • Project management including scheduling, establishing budgets, preparing invoices and client relations
  • Broad knowledge of transportation engineering across multiple disciplines
  • Municipal transportation projects
  • Corridor modeling and/or ORD modeling
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
