Job Summary
This job, under the direction of a radiologist or physician performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality.\u00A0 20%
Assists Radiologists and/or Physician with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique.\u00A0 10%
Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.\u00A0 10%
Prepares room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen.10%
Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized. 10%
Knows and implements emergency procedures as needed.\u00A0 10%
Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job. Enters and records data accurately and promptly. Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations10%
Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift. 10%
Participates independently in call rotation. 10%

Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
1 year experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology
In Lieu Of
Will consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience.

Registered in primary modality within 18 months
ARRT registered

Operation of diagnostic imaging equipment/computers, must be computer literate and ability to treat patients of all ages
