Chentronics LLC, a Koch Engineering Solutions company, is looking to add a Business Development Manager to our team based in Norwich, NY; remote and hybrid candidates will be considered.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate and excited about building preferred partnerships with customers and channel partners. We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team member ready to develop and drive strategic growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will understand ignition and flame safety products serving industrial markets such as power generation, petrochemical, refining, pulp & paper, and food & beverage.

What You Will Do

  • Identify global growth opportunities and develop strategies to capture new business.
  • Establish relationships within the industry and with key OEMs, end-users, distributors, and value-added resellers.
  • Attend selective industry trade shows, innovation workshops, trade forums, etc., to establish new business contacts and add to our potential client database.
  • Develop application knowledge in ignition and flame safety, allowing you to educate prospects and customers on the value of our offering.
  • Support the development of customer design and technical specifications.
  • Develop an understanding of target customer and prospect profiles, applications, needs, problems, and expectations while also being aware of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) and the current state of the business in target regions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the benefits of our products and solutions.
  • Capture and communicate the voice of customers across the organization.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to define priorities and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities while adjusting strategies accordingly.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements (Basic Qualifications):

  • Business-to-business sales and/or marketing experience
  • Experience selling technical products for industrial applications.
  • Proven ability to establish and grow customer relationships.
  • Economic thinker.
  • Experience working independently and to effectively collaborate with a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
  • Travel up to 50%.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Prior business development experience.
  • Knowledge of Chentronics products.
  • Ambitious, self-starting, and motivated attitude; willingness to learn, ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Technical understanding of gas turbines, burners, boilers, and/or flares.
  • Existing relationships within power, refinery, petrochemical, and/or pulp & paper markets.
  • Experience using Salesforce as a CRM, including reporting.

Depending on experience, this role will pay $120k - $150k. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
