MUST HAVES - Functional Expertise/Experience

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Responsible for assistance in the design, development and test of mechanical and high vacuum
systems and sub systems engineering projects. Specific Responsibilities: Assist in the design of
material handling systems, high vacuum systems, and thin film deposition equipment for Intevac's
capital equipment used for the manufacturing of disk media & coatings for consumable products.
Works with machine shops, pulleys, belts, motors, machined aluminum parts, frames, steel, and
pumps.

Job Qualifications
Working toward BS/MS in mechanical engineering or other related technical discipline. Experience
with Solidworks, CAD development software, Pro E, and AutoCad is a plus.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
1) Must have safety shoes, Safety glass (Intevac will provide non-prescription Safety Glass)
2) Standard Safety Training
3) Ergonomics
