Primary Purpose of Position | The Endpoint Management Specialist provides the comprehensive technical expertise to manage and secure the university's desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, and associated enterprise management systems. The specialist leads the processes of creating secure baseline configurations and images for endpoints, installing updates and patches, addressing vulnerabilities in endpoints, and managing associated enterprise systems. The specialist works with other members of Enterprise Endpoint Management to carry out these tasks and with other senior technical staff to coordinate services, configurations, security, and upgrades to provide high performance and secure endpoints for the entire university. The specialist reports to the Director of Enterprise Endpoint Management and is a key member of the department and the Information Technology Services (ITS) operations and security teams as well as the division's senior technical staff. |

Primary Function of Organizational Unit | Information Technology Services (ITS) strengthens and supports the university's mission of teaching, research, and scholarly application of knowledge by providing the information technology infrastructure, software, hardware, and support to achieve the university's strategic goals. ITS is comprised of nine departments which work with the university community to provide the information technology support and services required to realize operational excellence, integrate advanced technology, and create efficient and effective technology solutions. |
