Summary

The HR Operations Associate is responsible for performing daily, tactical operations essential to maintaining a workforce, including associate master data maintenance, data governance, reporting, and other tasks in support of the Human Resources department. This position will serve as the first point of contact for both internal and external customers by answering inquiries, providing information, and referring customers to the appropriate team for additional assistance, as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain HR systems, records, and reports with accurate associate data across the associate lifecycle, including new hires, benefits enrollment, life events, job and personal data changes, transfers, promotions, pay changes, reorganizations, terminations, etc.
  • Ensure associate data is updated and maintained timely and in compliance with company policy as well as federal, state, and local laws.
  • Generate and review basic reports to audit and correct data (as needed).
  • Answer Tier 1 benefits questions during Open Enrollment and throughout the benefit plan year.
  • Lead the generalist portion of New Associate Welcome sessions.
  • Solve routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines.
  • Assist with team projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-service focus.
  • High-level of understanding of the HRIS system concepts from a functional and technical perspective.
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Associates degree in a Human Resources related field or equivalent combination of work and education.
  • Minimum Preferred: More than 1 year of work experience in an HR Shared Services model/HR Operations or similar role.
