Job Description
Linxx Global Solutions, LLC. (Linxx) is currently seeking former military instructors to fill Coastal Riverine Force (CRF) Waterborne Operations (WO) Instructor positions. CRF WO Instructors will perform classroom and field laboratory support for high-risk training evolutions for the U.S. Navy. Positions are located at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Waterborne Operations Instructors provide training in CRF waterside (waterborne) operations, to include basic maritime navigation, advanced electronic navigation while operating Combatant Craft during day/night, open ocean, near coastal (i.e., Over-the-Horizon) situations in varying sea states and maneuvering Combatant Craft under various dynamic conditions. WO Instructors are actively engaged in the delivery of CRF Navigator-Basic, CRF Navigator-Advanced and CRF Coxswain courses, but may also provide training in CRF Operational Indoctrination and CRF CSW Operator courses as well.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Possess knowledge of computer technology application as it applies to instructional presentation and the use of classroom training aids.
  • Possess above average communication skills and the ability to comprehend both verbal and written orders.
  • Possess the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to complete CUIT certification and deliver each phase and topic assigned.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete the applicable PQS for Line Coach (Small Arms) and Line Coach (Crew Served Weapons) as contained in the Security Force Weapons PQS (NAVEDTRA 43466-C).
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete PQS - NAVEDTRA 43911-B, Tactical Craft Operations (Effective date: 29AUG2018) within 90 days of reporting for duty, in addition to obtaining CUIT qualification.
  • Capable of passing mandatory medical, psychological and drug screenings.
  • Capable of successfully passing background investigation.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance.

 

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications (NOTE: please attach your most recent resume and a copy of your DD214 to application)
  • Current SECRET clearance
  • Possess two years' experience as an instructor delivering training.
  • Must have ONE of the following qualifications:
  • Possess at least a minimum of two (3) years of documented experience serving as a member of one of the following organizations;
    • U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command
      • Special Boat Team (SPECBOAT Team)
      • SEAL Team EIGHTEEN
      • Naval Special Warfare Development Group
    • U.S. Navy Coastal Riverine Squadron or Training & Evaluation Unit (TEU);
    • USMC Small Craft Company/Dam Support Unit;
    • USCG Shore-Based Boat Unit or Maritime Patrol Forces that employ these types of craft;
      • Fast Response Cutters (FRC)
      • Patrol Boats (WPB)
      • Coastal Patrol Boats (CPB)
    • USCG Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF)
      • Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT)
      • Maritime Safety & Security Team (MSST)
      • Porty Security Unit (PSU)
    • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP); Marine Interdiction
    • CUIT qualified Riverine Boat Operations (RBO) Instructor at CENSECFOR LS Camp Lejeune.
  • Candidates must also possess one of the following qualifications/designations;
    • Special Warfare Boat Operator (SB)/Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman Specialist (SWCC) Basic, Senior or Master
    • Small Craft Insignia qualified (after 1 October 1984) per MIPERSMAN 1200-030
    • Command at Sea qualified per MILPERSMAN 1210-170
    • Force Protection Boat Coxswain (NEC 0190)
    • USCG Coxswain, Heavy Weather Coxswain, Tactical Coxswain, Pursuit Coxswain, Advanced Interdiction Coxswain, Advanced Interdiction Boat Team Leader or Surfman
    • CBP Marine Interdiction Agent Coxswain
    • USMC Small Craft Coxswain
  • Candidates must have at least a minimum of three (3) years documented experience operating;
    • 1. Combatant Craft (as defined by Enclosure (3) of SECNAVINST 5030.8B) in a Coastal Riverine or near coastal maritime environment (meaning ocean waters not more than 200 miles offshore) or;
    • 2. USCG asset classes (FRC, WPB or CPB) in inland/coastal waters out to 50 NM, or;
    • 3. Vessels operated by U.S. CBP Marine Interdiction Agents
  • Possess or be able to obtain a USCG National Master of Self-propelled Vessels of Less Than 100 GRT Upon Near Coastal Waters credential/endorsement or better within one year of reporting for service on this contract.
  • Possess or be able to qualify as a Second-Class Swimmer in accordance with NETC P1552/16.
  • Possess three years' experience in delivering weapons-based courses-of-instruction which include live-fire training, and possess/be capable of demonstrating the operation and tactical employment of crew served weapons.
  • Possess Navy NEC 0812 (Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor) credential or be a graduate of Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (SAMI) Course (A-041-0148) or satisfy one of the SAMI equivalency requirements as set forth in OPNAVINST 3591.1F.
  • Possess Navy NEC 0814 (Crew Served Weapons Instructor) credential or be a graduate of Crew Served Weapons Instructor (CSWI) Course (A-830-2215) or satisfy one of the CSWI equivalency requirements as set forth in OPNAVINST 3591.1F.
  • Possess experience involving the operation and tactical employment of crew served weapons to include: Medium 7.62 mm machine gun (i.e., M-60, M240, MK43, MK48); Heavy .50 caliber machine gun (i.e., M2HB); and M203 Grenade Launcher.

 

Preferred Requirements

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Tactical Communications experience:
    • Documented experience and be proficient operating portable tactical communications equipment, specifically;
      • AN/PRC-117 Harris Falcon III Multiband Networking Manpack
        AN/PRC-150 Type-1 HF Radio
        AN/PRC-152 Type-1 Handheld Multiband
        AN/PYQ-10 Simple Key Loader (SKL)/KIK-11 Tactical Key Loader
    • Proficiency in basic Tactical Operations Center set-up, watch standing, information management/flow, procedures, reporting, preplanned responses and Combatant-Craft FLIR system.
    • Possess the ability to perform duties as an Electronics Key Management System Local Holder.
  • Medical/EMT experience:
    • Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic).
    • Current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certification in accordance with the latest Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) standards.
    • Possess two years of experience in providing military first aid or emergency room/trauma center care.
    • Possess three years of documented operational field medical experience serving as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, U.S. Army medic, or as a Special Operations Tactical Medic.
  • Commercial Driver's License
