Clariant has a promising opportunity for a business savvy Account Manager to support the Care Chemicals business unit. The primary function of this role is to cultivate and nurture strategic relationships for Clariant's Industrial Applications business. We are looking for someone to build the customer base via new business development and market penetration for Clariant products across multiple business lines - specifically, Surfactants and Polyglycols. Your goal is to understand the specific needs of the customer, deliver tailored solutions, and drive revenue growth while ensuring their long-term satisfaction. This is a home-based opportunity that requires frequent travel with a top and bottom-line responsibility for regional and select Global Key Accounts. Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and offering exceptional customer service
* Project driven growth through management of a CRM pipeline in conjunction with New Business Development
* Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, helping them make informed decisions about product and service offerings
* Monitor account performance, analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations
* Forecast and manage account budgets, revenue projections, and sales pipelines
* Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue within key accounts
* Define and coordinate technical support for application and product development
* Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services to key accounts
* Collaborate with internal teams on product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on customer feedback and market insights
* Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of client orders, projects, and deliverables
* Manage price quotes and contracts supporting accounts receivables and inventory
* Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities to identify potential new customers and market opportunities
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop sales strategies, create proposals, and negotiate contracts with new customers
* Proactively address and mitigate churn risks


Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Science related field
* 8-10 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry, strategic business planning, sales, and account management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically and analytically
* Sales-driven mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets
* Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools
