WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Provide strategy and direction to Production Supervisor and Warehouse Supervisor to meet production plans.
  • Advise and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, raw materials replenishment, delivery, or quality performance. Solicit feedback, initiate corrective action, and coordinate resolution of issues. Keep operations and management advised of critical situations.
  • Review/Ensure the success of the day-to-day production activities within the value stream while creating an environment of continuous improvement, putting in place cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, equipment, etc, to continually improve manufacturing safety and productivity.
  • Inspire and motivate team members by coaching and developing them to become high performers.
  • Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
  • Drive Lean culture by establishing and implementing continuous improvement plans and hands-on, high-involvement activities including 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, problem-solving, and TPM.
  • Drive sustainable year-over-year cost, cash flow, and service level improvements along five categories: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (SQDCC).
  • The scope of responsibility includes oversight of Production departments (Finishing, Wire Draw, Assembly, Copper Plating, Flexibar) and Warehouse activities on all shifts.
  • Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances; must be able to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor the efficiency of the team's performance on the job and provide feedback and coaching to help improve performance.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to positively motivate employees at all levels of the organization to drive change.
  • General knowledge of LEAN fundamentals; strong LEAN knowledge is desired.
  • Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address the difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution
