Learn more atstvinc.com.As part of STV's newly developed strategic plan, Water has been identified as a major growth area. The water group in North Carolina has built solid backlog. To serve the existing clients and to keep growing the water practice in the Carolinas and other surrounding states, we have an immediate need for a Water/Wastewater Senior Operation Manager located in our Morrisville office. The successful candidate will lead our current staff while assisting in growing the water/wastewater practice to better service our clients. This role offers unlimited opportunities to maintain existing client relationships, broaden STV's service offerings geographically, manage projects, mentor junior staff, all while promoting the culture of a healthy work-life balance. Ideally, you should be comfortable and interested in promoting the Water/Wastewater practice through sales and outreach. You should also: desire to build and lead a team, be professionally respected, an excellent communicator, and possesses a vast understanding of water and wastewater engineering principles.   • Lead the development of water and wastewater projects as a client-facing project manager, leveraging the experience in water distribution system, wastewater collection system, water/wastewater treatment, pump and lift station including investigation, studies, modeling, design, and construction administration services.
  • Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project team members, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects
  • Supervise and support the work of junior level engineers while mentoring them
  • Lead or support teams in marketing and proposal phases of projects, including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scope and fee
Required Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field with MS degree a plus
  • 11+ years of water and wastewater experience
  • Professional Engineer in North Carolina required
  • Extensive project and people management experience including at least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplined water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Knowledge and experience with the local municipalities, including City of Raleigh, City of Durham, PWC, OWASA, High Point, and others
  • Knowledge of NCDOT methods and procedures a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and coordination skills with other disciplines
  • Successful record of managing client, assisting in client development, and leading project pursuits
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Compensation Range:

$116,960.00 - $155,946.00
