Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, Song Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology seeks to fill a Research Technician position to serve as a supporting role for the research staff and lab manager,

The Research Technician will be responsible for keeping inventory records for lab reagents, ordering supplies, and interacting with sales representatives. This position is responsible for scheduling meetings and making reservations of conference rooms. In addition, they will help students and post-docs in the basic experimental analyses of the lab.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Knowledge in the main techniques of mouse genetics, perfusion, genotyping, and immunohistology and basic lab techniques in mouse models are required.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experiences with database management, general lab operations, and purchasing function.
