Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Consumables Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role is central to the assembly and testing of our innovative Life Science consumable products, including custom reagent mixtures, assay kits, tubing sets, and microfluidic chip assemblies. The successful candidate will follow precise procedures and work instructions to ensure the highest quality of production. Responsibilities extend to visual inspections, quality assurance sampling, and collaboration with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to resolve production challenges and enhance assembly and testing processes.

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week


Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and testing of Life Science consumable products following strict guidelines.
  • Preparation of custom reagents, assay kits, and more, ensuring high standards.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality assurance tests to maintain product integrity.
  • Support the NPI team to identify and solve production issues.
  • Assist with process transfer and new process introduction activities.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly and testing processes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and handle miniaturized components.
  • Experienced in chemical dispensing and microscopic product inspection.
  • Background in a clean room environment and knowledge of production scaling (prototype to volume manufacturing) are beneficial.
  • Prior experience with Microfluidic devices manufacturing is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrates hard work, energy, and the capability to work independently.
  • Competent computer skills, including the use of electronic documents and records.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education & Experience

  • Preferred education: Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
