At RBC Bank, we're seeking a passionate, super-collaborative and innovative Director, Digital Transformation that will be responsible for developing a strategic, value-driven roadmap that transforms our client experiences and solutions.

As a key member of RBC Bank's digital transformation team accountable to the Head, Digital Transformation you will collaborate with business and functional leaders to ensure delivery of business, financial, and client experience OKRs across onboarding, servicing, engagement and loyalty.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of the digital strategy including defining the vision and OKRs in partnership with Everyday Banking, Real Estate Financing, Marketing, and functional bank teams
  • Perform strategic assessments and gap analysis to identify areas of opportunity, risk and failure to serve digitally based upon online behavior, traffic analysis, machine learning data, industry trends and best practices to produce actionable insight and enhance conversion funnels
  • Develop the case for change, designing a holistic end-state transformation roadmap, and working with the Digital Delivery team to define the relevant core work components for execution
  • Apply a disciplined approach to research, user feedback and channel analytics and translates insights into user journeys to build product and execution roadmaps
  • Establish collaborative relationships within RBC to deeply align and/or integrate into channel strategies and experiences from consideration, origination, onboarding through to engagement and cross-sell.
  • Identify partnerships and vendors to accelerate banking digital transformation and test/learn opportunities
  • Lead and own the development of channel design and functionality to reflect best in class client experiences, elegantly integrating digital and advisory channels.
  • Collaborates with business and functional leaders and teams to innovate, optimize, and personalize the cross-border experience to drive growth, engagement and loyalty, striving for best-in-class solutions to regulatory, legal, risk management and operational requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership to RBC Bank's strategies and initiatives relative to the bank's digital ecosystem and leads the transformative journey with new features and services in mobile, data, and future banking and lending platforms
  • In collaboration with Digital Delivery, Business, and IT, build business cases to balance the vision with the technical reality and establish Key Results and KPI's to monitor and assess execution quality and outcomes
  • Create clarity out of ambiguity and quickly focuses the effort on the most value.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and provide recommendations to digital marketing, CRM, business and marketing leadership to improve the client experience, effectiveness, and efficiency of the digital channels, including emails, intercepts, tools/calculators, banner ads, and websites
  • Manage pre-implementation, systems integration, and implementation vendors and consultants from negotiations to RACI alignment, scope adherence, schedule rigor, and budget management
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with the Business, Operations and IT counterparts, including business representatives, Project Management Office, solutions architecture, and IT Engineering
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in rolling out changes across the enterprise
  • Co-Define our change, technology, and data readiness approach with working alongside IT Engineering, Operations, and Process Excellence
  • Co-create technology debt roadmap with IT Engineering and co-manage the simplification and efficiency with defined and sequenced application / support lifecycle roadmap
  • Identify future digital transformation opportunities, build vision, and develop roadmap and strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or related degree. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of digital strategy, transformation experience
  • 7+ years direct knowledge and experience with online banking, online account opening, secured, unsecured lending
  • People leadership, preferably in centers of innovation
  • Strong understanding of the business and stakeholder needs
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Proven experience in leading / planning successful delivery of digital transformation initiatives
  • Expert influential communication skills, able to indirectly influence others, and collaborates in insightful problem solving
  • Amazingly positive outlook

Nice To Have

  • RBC organizational awareness in order to leverage strategies, assets and expertise
  • Prior Scales Agile Framework (SAFe) experience
  • HFI certification or equivalent
  • Agile certification
