Job Summary |
The Food Service Associate III is trained to work in a number of positions in the Dietary Department. This position may be scheduled in patient service areas, diet office/host/hostess, or retail/customer service areas. |
Minimum Qualifications | |
Education | High school diploma or GED required. |
Licensure/ Certification | None or required. |
Experience | 6+ months of food service or customer service experience preferred. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | * Must have basic knowledge of therapeutic diets. * Must have basic knowledge of food service and sanitary procedures. * Must be able to cope with a moderate degree of stress. * Is flexible in work assignments, including working in a variety of areas in one shift. * Ability to maintain effective working relationships and communication levels with co-workers, supervisors, administration, and general public. Demonstrates good customer service skills in all interactions. * Must be able to manage time. * Maintains a positive attitude. * Is able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. * Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. * Is able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include working for several hours in a standing position, significant walking, and dealing with slippery floors, hot pans, liquids and foods. |
