Position: Digital Marketing Intern

Department: Digital Marketing

Reporting Relationship: Reports to Senior Manager, Performance Marketing

Status: Intern (Non-Exempt)

Position Summary

The Carolina Panthers are seeking a Digital Marketing Intern who will primarily focus on performance marketing while contributing to each fundamental aspect of digital marketing, including email marketing, marketing analytics, and paid advertising. This team member will be a forward-thinking, creative-minded, and organized person working within paid media and digital marketing to understand the full process of creating a digital marketing campaign to drive greater revenue and engagement. This role is designed to develop a strong digital marketing foundation across multiple disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization of files, including creative, reporting decks, internal documents, spreadsheets, and other departmental needs.
  • Execute the creation of reporting decks to assist with campaign recapping and compiling creative which is live in various markets.
  • Report on paid media performance and provide actionable insights to the team for improving user engagement, conversion, etc.
  • Maintain internal tracking of advertising placement across Panthers email marketing, Panthers.com, and the Panthers app.
  • Work closely with all departments alongside the Senior Manager to help support campaign planning strategy.
  • Assisted email marketing managers with updating email subscriber status and lists in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as management of internal email calendar and campaign tracking.
  • Assist with building out the documentation for digital marketing department processes and organization.
  • Develop a process for gathering and maintaining Panthers paid media performance and fan acquisition data.
  • Organize and maintain internal inventory of digital marketing department assets and inventory.
  • Learn and assist with all functions of digital marketing, including email marketing, performance marketing, and our portfolio of additional digital assets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrate interest, curiosity, and willingness to learn all aspects of digital marketing, including paid media and email marketing.
  • Passion for the current advertising landscape with an understanding of emerging trends
  • Full understanding of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in-office at the Charlotte, NC Panthers offices at Bank of America Stadium.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and some Carolina Panthers and Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must pass pre-employment screens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Meta Ad Manager is preferred.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools such Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Proficiency in project management platforms such as Monday.com is preferred.
  • Experience within a fast-paced industry.

  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information carefully and with sensitivity.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Lift at least 20 pounds

Work Environment

This job operates in-person in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times, which may include inclement weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by management and based on current business needs.
