TRC is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join the Survey Division in our Charlottesville, Virginia office.
Position Summary
The role of the surveyor includes coordination and collaboration with survey team members, human resources, accounting, engineers, and clients. This role is responsible for daily oversight of survey operations including staff scheduling, scope and fee proposals, project management and quality control.
Responsibilities:
* Manage office and field survey staff
* Create and maintain working relationships with clients and potential clients
* Delivery of a quality product and superior service to external and internal clients
* Prepare proposals and invoices. Be responsible for project financial performance
* Adhere to company safety polices with use of personal protective equipment, (PPE)
* Complete internal and external training as required

This position requires a Licensed Virginia Land Surveyor with knowledge of Land Surveying practices and techniques. Additionally, having experience and an understanding of AutoCAD Civil3D/Carlson Civil Suite is preferred. This role will be asked to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria. The individual should have experience in leading people, delivering projects, performing customer service and marketing tasks to help develop projects and clients.
