Disposes of hazardous materials as required per OSHA regulations -------------------------------------------------- Greets patients, prepares them for ultrasound and screens for appropriate information. -------------------------------------------------- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions -------------------------------------------------- Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information as well as files test and examination results in chart after physician review -------------------------------------------------- Maintains information in a confidential manner, in accordance with State, Federal and Practice guidelines -------------------------------------------------- Maintains procedure room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness and prepares list of supplies as needed. -------------------------------------------------- Maintains timely flow of patients -------------------------------------------------- Oversees appointment bookings and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations -------------------------------------------------- Prepares equipment for testing of patient -------------------------------------------------- |
EDUCATION: |
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required Successful completion of a school of Ultrasound Technology by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Sonography OR Must obtain Ultrasound certification from the ARDMS or the ARRT within one year of graduation from an ultrasound program AND Must at all times maintain Ultrasound certification from the ARDMS or ARRT Must obtain NTQR certification within 45 days of hire |
