Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit | The mission of the Division of Student Success is to work in partnership with the University community to deliver high quality services to facilitate the recruitment, retention and graduation of a diverse student population and strive to provide service, leadership, and transitional student support for UNCG. The Division of Student Success is committed to designing, implementing, and providing the services necessary to promote student success throughout the entire student life cycle from day one to diploma. This division includes the offices of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, University Advising, New Student Transitions & First Year Experience, Students First Office, Academic Achievement Center, TRiO Programs, UNCG Guarantee, GEAR UP UNCG, and the Multiliteracy Centers (Speaking Center, Writing Center, and Math Help Center). |
Position Summary |
UNCG has a Transfer-Friendly Campus Culture that recognizes the diversity they bring to campus and actively integrates them into campus life. This position will provide support to UNCG's efforts to improve the transfer student experience and partnerships with area Community Colleges. The Assistant Director for Transfer Initiatives is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt position. The person in this position works collaboratively with colleagues campus-wide in order to improve transfer articulation practices including annual reviews of Baccalaureate Degree Plans and established Articulation Agreements as well as facilitating new agreements and degree pathways. |
